It was celebration galore on Friday,12th June,2026, when the
1994/1995 set of Ondo State University Ado Ekiti, held its 10th year
anniversary and reunion party. Members converged to rejoice and share memories
of their old days in the school. The event was held at the NUT Pavilion,
Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
The event witnessed the coming together of 94/95 sets of Osua
ladies who have gone ahead to record numerous life accomplishments in their
various fields. Awards of excellence were also given to some members and
executives.
Speaking at the event, the President, Osua Ladies,Mrs Fadeke Akintoye, welcomed everyone present to the historic and memorable occasion as they mark a significant milestone in their collective journey, the 10th anniversary of Osua Ladies. We came together with clear goals, to help ourselves economically, foster unity, celebrate friendship and preserve the powerful bond of sisterhood that our university years gifted us. Osua Ladies has stood as a shining example of what women can achieve when they unite with a shared purpose. For ten years, we have supported one another through life's seasons, in moments of joy and celebration, in times of challenge and uncertainty, in personal victories and difficult trials. We have become more than former schoolmates; we have become sisters and a support system.
To all our guests, spouses, members, and those who have one or
the other, I welcome you all here with us today.
Through this association, many have found
encouragement, business support, financial opportunities, emotional strength and
lifelong friendships. However, on this special occasion, we must also recognise
and deeply appreciate the men who have stood quietly yet strongly behind many
of us throughout this journey, our husbands. Today, we honour you, we say "Thank
you" for your understanding and encouragement. In many ways, your
encouragement has contributed to the
growth and success of this
association. We appreciate and thank you from our hearts. May God bless you
abundantly for standing by us.
Here's ten years of sisterhood, ten years of friendship, ten years of empowerment, ten years of unity and ten years of unforgettable
memories. Happy 10th Anniversary, Osua Ladies. May our friendship continue to
blossom, may our homes continue to prosper. Long live Osua Ladies, long live Ekiti
State University, Ado Ekiti.
The event kicked off around 1pm with the MC Laflaff doing
what he knows how to do best after members of the Association, the guests had
been ushered in, and the stage was set for a talk-off.
The red carpet session had begun a few minutes earlier, and members took time to take group
pictures. Others exchanged witty banter with their old friends.
A short prayer session was observed, which was led by Elder
Abiola, who prayed the Christian way.
Dignitaries on the high table are: Honourable Commissioner for Information &Strategy, Lagos State, Hon.Gbenga Omotoso and his beautiful wife, Mrs Funmi Omotoso, Mr and Mrs Olamide Akintoye, Prince Bamidele Olagunju (The Chairman and President of the Association) Mr and Mrs Adeola, Mr and Mrs Kayode.
Chairperson, organising committee, Mrs Funmi Omotoso, said the
gathering is not merely a celebration of time. It is a celebration of purpose
fulfilled, relationships nurtured, resilience displayed, and impact sustained. Ten years ago, OsuaLadies was an idea
fueled by friendship and a shared history. Today, it is a living testimony to
what happens when women choose unity, consistency, and service.
The journey started 10 years ago in a small meeting gathering
in Alausa, Lagos State, on the 30th of May, 2016, which, quite fittingly, was also
her birthday.
She specially acknowledged the visioneer, the Executives, the
organising Committee, and every member of OsuaLadies who has contributed
time, talent, resources, and prayers to make the journey possible.
May the next ten years surpass our expectations, may our
sisterhood grow stronger and may OsuaLadies continue to be a beacon of
grace, growth, and purposeful living. God bless us all.
