This is the story of Mopelola Jatto, CFA, who serves as the Regional Head for Northern Nigeria at ACCA, a leading global professional accounting body headquartered in the UK.
It's her 40th birthday
and all her family and friends are celebrating her as you read this.
In her role, she oversees operations across 19 states in the
region and manages the employer channel for ACCA Nigeria. Mopelola is one of
the few Nigerians to hold the prestigious CFA charter and has a strong
background in economics and finance.
With over 16 years of experience spanning the banking and education sectors, she brings a wealth of expertise to her current position.
Passionate about business development and financial literacy,
Mopelola is a strong advocate for self-development, particularly for women. She
believes that many women underestimate their self-worth, which leads to
self-imposed limitations, and she is committed to breaking down these barriers.
As a self-starter, Mopelola has made significant strides in
the corporate world, overcoming gender biases through her tenacity and
goal-driven approach.
Mopelola is dedicated to empowering young Muslim women, demonstrating that their faith, attire, or hijab need not hinder their corporate aspirations. After spending a decade in the banking industry, she transitioned to financial education, where she has led numerous initiatives and projects, consistently driving improved performance and positive outcomes.
Known for her dynamic leadership style,
Mopelola—affectionately called "Mo"—is proactive and visionary,
combining enthusiasm with a strong commitment to excellence. Her leadership is
characterized by a focus on results, teamwork, and open communication.
Mopelola is happily married to Sheriff Femi Jatto (Private
Secretary to the Governor of Zamfara State) and they are blessed with three
lovely children.
Wishing her a very happy 40th birthday.
