The Deputy Majority Leader of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Adedamola Richard Kasunmu, has expressed deep gratitude to the people of Ikeja Constituency 2 for their overwhelming support and massive attendance at the burial ceremony of his father, which took place last week Thursday.
The final funeral rites of High Chief Adekunle Olaosebikan Kasunmu started with a Service of Songs on Tuesday 18th June and culminated in a grand reception on Thursday 20th June 2024 on Lagos Island.
At both the church service and reception, there was a massive presence of notable personalities from Ikeja Constituency 2.
For instance, Ikeja LGA Chairman, Engr Mojeed Alabi Balogun led a team of about 20 officials to the church service, including his deputy, SLG and others.
Also at the church were Chief Funso Ologunde, Prince and Mrs Ranti Olufon, Mr and Mrs Seun Makinde and many others.
At the reception, there was a large presence of political figures from Ikeja Constituency 2, including personalities from both Ikeja and Ojodu.
There were Apex Leaders, Party Chairmen, EXCOS, and respected party men and women.
Chairman of Ikeja LGA APC and APC Lagos Conference 57 Chairman, Alhaji Adekunle Dally-Adeokun, led other leaders and members such as Barr. Adebola Ladigbolu, Engr. Kehinde Akinola, Hon Akeem Dauda; Hon. Ayotunde Adenuga, Princess Sidikat Illo, Hon. Edward Samuel Aragbonfoh, Comrade Tayo Aderinola, and many other Ikeja politicians.
From Ojodu, we had Chief Omolabi, Comrade Kayode Ajakaiye, Woman Leader Bukky Badmus, other apex Leaders, LCDA woman Leader, all six Ward Chairmen and other notable personalities
Kabiyesi Olu of Aguda, HRM Oba Agbaosi Eweobaja and the Baales of Ojodu land, Chief Aro Nojeemu and others.
In a message from the desk of the Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Kasunmu thanked everyone starting from those came to his father’s house in Iju to pay condolence visits, those who bought Ankara Asoebi and those who attended physically.
He prayed that God in his infinite Mercy would continue to bless and favour everyone who identified with him and his family during the period.
