Commends President Tinubu, Gov. Sanwo-Olu For Support
On Friday, November 17, 2023, beneficiaries of Lagos State's
palliatives, who are Sanwo-Olu Ambassadors, were thrilled as they received food
packs containing 50kg Rice, 50kg Garri, and 100kg Beans. The distribution took
place at Oduduwa Cresent, GRA, Ikeja (BOSCO office). Alhaja Tai Elemesho, the
Director-General of Sanwo-Olu Ambassadors, personally oversaw the successful
distribution of the food items.
Over 200 Ambassadors from all the Local Governments of the state came to collect the palliatives, and no one was left out, even though it was a huge crowd. Other beneficiaries received 10kg Rice, 5kg Garri, and 5kg Beans.
The fuel subsidy removal has affected virtually every sector
of the economy, and the measure was put in place to cushion its effects. The
Sanwo-Olu Ambassadors is a political support group that provided support for
Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State during his second term bid.
Alhaja Elemesho praised Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for their virtues. She expressed gratitude to both for initiating programmes and policies that are masses-friendly, citing the palliatives as an example.
Bisi, an Ambassador who benefited from the distribution,
expressed satisfaction with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's steps to cushion the
effects of fuel subsidy removal in the country by the Federal Government. Kemi,
another beneficiary, praised the quality and quantity of the food pack, which
contained rice, beans, and garri.
Alhaji, an Ambassador from Lagos Island, thanked Governor
Babajide Sanwo-Olu and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their support. He prayed
that God would continue to guide them in their administrations and beyond.
Kofoworola Abiola Atanda, a famous Nollywood veteran actress,
also expressed her gratitude for the food provided by the state government. She
believed that families would feed from it for some time and that things would
improve in the country.
