This is the story of a beautiful Naija lady who is doing well in London. It is the story of Dupe BnS, whose real name is Modupe Arowoshola-Okesanjo. She is a popular London Showbiz promoter. Recently, CityPeople asked her how this year has been for her.
"Thank you CityPeople. I appreciate your gesture of love and
support. This year has been good.
" 2023 is a very busy year and by God's mercy a successful one. I've staged more than 15 shows so far, from big events to small ones.
The notable ones are Praise the Almighty concert with Tope
Alabi in London/ Praise party with Aduke Gold/ Thanksgiving time with Dr Abosed
Adeiwa /Let’s Worship God involving UK gospel Artists like Andreq
Bello/Abimega plus/Eje Jesu grace/joyful praises and Funmi Unstoppable.
What has changed about the Entertainment industry in the UK?
" A lot has actually changed in entertainment promotions
because there is a huge demand for shows and people turn out in large numbers
especially the British-born Nigerian youths and Afrobeat. Also, the usual fuji/juju
fans have cultivated paying habits now, especially buying online tickets; more
so such indigenous shows are being staged at prestigious venues like 02 Indigo/the
parvillion etc."
How does she feel when she looks back at what BnS Promotions
has been able to do since she started? How many years now?
"I feel grateful
to God and it's all gratitude to people, looking back at what (BnS) Blessing
and Success Promotions has been able to
do since I started promotions in 2003."
"Aside from promoting big shows with A-List
artists/influencing & advertising for big brands; I've been able to unite
promoters in the UK & produce upcoming promoters that are doing well
too."
What are the range of services she renders?
"Aside from promoting music; Arts and culture, I offer
training for those who are interested in becoming a promoter; I advertise /influence
businesses, manage artists, organise and
package events for all occasions and scout for talents, who are into acting and
movie production/premiere."
What do we expect from her before the end of the year??
"Before the year runs out, I will be hosting Pasuma's
birthday on the 26/27th of November in London by the special grace of
God."
"I am also in the process of putting together an exciting
new international series, titled Star time, bigger & better than the
previous Truth or Dare, with celebrities."
Lately, we have observed that her promotion is gravitating
towards Gospel music. Why is this so? Does this mean the end of the fuji genre?
I'm not ending the promotion of fuji music genre but
concentrating more on becoming an Evangelist, through promoting and sponsoring
gospel music. At over 50, and with all the good things God has done in my life,
He is worthy of my praise and service. That is why I chose to concentrate more
on promoting gospel music." @bns.promotions.uk
