It was the final burial of Late Deaconess Esther Olatundun
Amoke Alaba, mother of a popular security expert, Seyi Alaba.
World Lilies Events Centre venue of the party was filled to the brim for both human and vehicular crowds despite having a large parking space.
Seyi Alaba and his siblings didn't leave any stone unturned in
giving their late mother a befitting burial. Of course, that wasn't surprising.
Late Deaconess Esther Alaba lived a fulfilled life worthy of
celebration. She was a devoted Christian, a good mother and a role model to
many. Mama maintained a modest, virtuous life till she breathed her last on the
13th of June, 2023, at the age of 73.
Deaconess Esther Alaba was born into the family of Mr and Mrs
Samuel and Janet Babafemi of Mogunoja Compound, Imesi Ile, Osun state. She
owned the popular Modesty Beauty Saloon at Liberty Road, Oke Ado, Ibadan in her
lifetime.
Mama was survived by her husband Pa David Akinade Alaba,
children and grandchildren. All of her children are successful in their various
chosen careers. They include Late Engr. Opeyemi Alaba, Mrs Folake Akinade,
Omotayo Alaba, Ayo Alaba and Seyi Alaba, MD/CEO PG Security Services Limited
and Second Vice Captain, Ibadan Golf Club.
Little wonder then that the event was a mega party. Virtually
all the who-is-who in business and social circles from Ibadan and beyond were
at the party. The party was grand and glamorous. All to eat (both local and
continental) were made available abundantly. Infact, both exotic and high
brands of alcoholic drinks flowed like water. Hennessy, Jameson, Glenfiddich -
just name it, were all available.
Wole Ojo and his Icons music Entertainment were on bandstand.
Taiwo Adesanya aka MC Obama anchored the event.
The highly numerous list of dignitaries that graced the
memorable occasion include members of Ibadan Golf Club led by their Captain, Mr
Tunji Oladosu, Rotarians from Lagos and Ibadan.
Also on the list are Opulence Creation boss, Alhaji Bashiru
Akande, Yomi Salami, Demola Ojo (ijaya), Captain Dayo Aderinto Jide Saraye and
Yomi Layika.
There were also MD University Press Limited, Samuel Kolawole,
Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mr
Akin Funmilayo, Dare Adeleke and Kunle Busari.
Others include Hon. Yinka Omikunle, Barr. Mutallab Ojo, Lekan
Taiwo, Otunba Abimbola Davies, Barr. Biodun Latunji, Barr. Idowu Salami, Femi
Laniya, among others.
