These are good times for Evangelist Jumoke Shittu in London. It was her birthday a few weeks back. She turned 55. And she had every reason to celebrate. We asked her how she feels about her new age.
"I feel Happy and blessed. God has done so much for me, I
can not tell it all.
THE PLANS OF MY ENEMIES DIDN'T MANIFEST UPON ME. HAD IT NOT BEEN THE LORD THAT WAS ON MY SIDE WHEN THEY CAME LIKE A FLOOD I WOULD HAVE BEEN SWEPT OFF MY FEET.
TODAY
MY HEALTH, MY MINISTRY, MY CAREER ARE IN TOP FORM BECAUSE I
SERVE A LIVING JESUS; MY LORD AND SAVIOUR."
What are the lessons learnt so far? "I have learnt that
it is only God who rewards good, no matter how good, no matter
how much you love, Labour, and remain Loyal in friendship. If the other person
feels like not showing the same amount of energy there is absolutely nothing
you can do about it.
The worst are family
members who, out of envy and jealousy, start spreading rumours around,
spreading a lie. No two people are the same, not even twins. We are all
different and unique. The earlier we
embrace our uniqueness, the better for us.
2. I have learnt to trust God and believe in myself.
3. I value my self-esteem.
I love God and I love
People ( though with people it can be challenging). God has already given me
the strength to overcome. I am an overcomer.
Who is Jumoke Shittu & what does she do in the UK?
"Jumoke Shittu is the apple of God's eye, who was born
into the Shittu family in (Aiyepe) with a strong Muslim background. But, I
heard the call, and followed Jesus Christ who is the Author and finisher of my
faith."
"My God brought me to England 25 years ago. Armed with my
certificate in Mass Communication and my two-year-old daughter, I began life in
the UK.
I quickly discovered New Wine International Church, where I
have been worshipping with my children for the past 25 years and I am
planted. To God be the glory."
"In the US, my ministry's plan is to visit the ORPHANAGE
and be a blessing to the residents come October 2024."
"We are soliciting volunteers and destiny helpers who
will donate towards the project because the ones we have done here in the UK and
Nigeria we have not had any financial support."
