As you read this, she is in a happy mood. She is happy. She is
excited. Charis Olusola is 60. And she is looking fabulous. Of course, she
plans to celebrate it. But it's an exclusive party for her close friends and
family members. She deserves to celebrate. She has come a long way. She has
lived a fulfilled life.
How does she feel at 60, CityPeople asked her a few days ago.
"I am thankful to God, my creator, for keeping me and standing by me. I am blessed and extremely happy as I turn 60. I give God all the glory, honour, and praise."
"I am grateful to be alive, hale and hearty at 60. I feel
a sense of fulfillment. God has done me well. He has been good to my family and
He has been gracious towards me. Anu ni mo ri gba."
We asked her to tell us her story. It is an exciting story.
"In the year 1963, on the 5th of July, in Lagos state, I
was born into the family of Late Pa Akinola Sogbesan and Mother in Israel, Mrs.
Elizabeth Olaide Sogbesan of Iperu Remo. I am the 3rd child of my
parents."
Where did she grow up?
"I grew up in Lagos and spent most of my youthful years
in Lagos, Ogun, and Ibadan."
What does she do for a living?
"I work with Jide Taiwo & Co as the head of Customer
Relations."
Does she feel fulfilled at 60?
"Of course yes I do.
Some of the words/phrases commonly used to describe me are
“down to earth”, “friendly”, “Loving”, “ever-happy, joyful” and “caring”.
"I love to read and dance; I enjoy photography and I find
making new friends fun.
I am blessed by God with 3 wonderful and lovely children, I
also have a beautiful granddaughter. I am surrounded by beautiful family and
friends. I am
super thankful for the beautiful life God has blessed me with.
In all, He has been gracious to me. I thank God for reaching this milestone age
of 60. All the glory be to God."
