Hon Adebiyi Adewale Adeleye is in a happy mood right now. He is
very happy that the Appeal Court has restored his mandate, as the APC candidate
for Remo North State constituency.
A few days back, he held a Thanksgiving at his church, The
Methodist Church in Isara Remo, Ogun State, where he hails from.
Let's tell you a lot more about this stylish Ogun
politician, who is well-loved by his people.
He was born in Isara Remo, Ogun State, in the early seventies,
into a family of devout Christians of The Methodist Church, Oke Oja, Isara
Remo.
His father was Pa J.O Adeleye; a rock solid entrepreneur and community leader in his time, while his mother, Sis D.O Adeleye was until her transition to eternal glory a staunch progressive politician and illustrious trader.
Adebiyi grew up in Isara, in a large and extended household
where diligence, integrity and community service were part of both his heritage
and ethos. His parents were devout Methodists, members of numerous fellowship
classes of Methodist Church Oke Oja, Isara Remo.
As a youngster, Iyiola served as an altar boy, thereon later
as a youth leader, amongst others, in the church. He learned both the value of
giving and discipline as well as tolerance for all religions and people.
He started demonstrating forthrightness, keen intellect and uprightness at an early age. These were the qualities that set him apart from his peers and prepared him for his role as a community and socio-economic leader that he is today.
Hon Adebiyi Adewale Adeleye had his primary education at
Wesley Primary School, Oke Bola, Isara Remo, and his secondary education at
both Saapade Grammar School, Isara Remo and ODC, Ode Remo, Ogun State. He
there on went to study Fisheries Technology at the prestigious Federal College
of Freshwater Fisheries Technology, New Bussa in Niger State. His interest in
Insurance led him to Kaplan Business School, Minnesota, USA, where he sat and
passed his Full Certificate Examinations, obtaining a Diploma Certificate in
Insurance.
Hon Adebiyi Adeleye’s quest for continuous improvement has
seen him take several courses in different institutions. He currently attends
Moore Plantation Ibadan, where he is studying Agricultural Extension.
His involvement in politics started early in life as his
family has always been involved in politics both at community and regional
levels. For him, being a progressive is ingrained and natural, evidently so
right from the days of Alliance for Democracy (AD) where he was a top grassroots
mobiliser and coordinator of several campaigns at different times and levels of
play.
Hon Adebiyi Adewale Adeleye was Chairman, Remo North Local
Government in 2011.
He was elected Member of the Ogun State House of Assembly,
representing Remo North State Constituency, 2015-2019.
He was appointed Consultant on General Matters by H.E Gov Dapo
Abiodun MFR in 2019. There on appointed Special Adviser on Political Matters in
2020.
Currently, he is the House of Assembly Candidate of the All
Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming election for Remo North State
Constituency, 2023.
Hon Adebiyi Adewale Adeleye is a grass root politician, a
political mobiliser and a community man, who has always been involved in
development efforts in his place of birth, Isara Remo, and Remo North Local
Government at large.
He has been conferred with several traditional titles by
different communities where he has won the admiration of the people.
Hon Adebiyi Adeleye is the Apesinola of Isara Remo, Apagunpote
of Ilara Kingdom, Apagunpote of Ipara Remo, and Olu Nla of Eposo Land.
He is a lover of people regardless of class, age or social
status.
Speaking about ways to improve development in Remo North Local
Government at his Inauguration as LG Chairman in 2011, he, said, “All Remo North
indigenes should go back to the core values of the Yoruba Omoluabi which
emphasizes honesty, love, and good names instead of unhealthy quest for wealth
and fame.”
Hon Adebiyi Adewale Adeleye is happily married to Kehinde (née Awobona), of Isara Remo, Ogun State. The
union is blessed with two lovely children: Oluwadarasimi and Emmanuel, who are
engaged in formative academic pursuits.
In line with the social and leadership responsibilities of his
biological heritage, Hon Adebiyi Adewale Adeleye provides paternal support and
parental guidance to a large number of young persons in his community and
beyond. He remains a major political bridge builder in the politics of Ogun
State, a leading pan Youths politician whose views on national political issues
