US Based Omooba Adenike Taiwo Luwaji Ogundimu, Opens Big Event Centre In ABEOKUTA

That is what everyone in Abeokuta is talking about right now. It is the story of a brand new event centre that has just opened in the capital city of Ogun State, that has a breathtaking beauty that makes many people who see the complex fall in love with it.

The big news is that on Thursday 17th November 2022, in the Idi Aba area of Abeokuta, this big and classy event centre will be formally opened. That day will mark the grand Royal opening of Emfelix Event & Conference Centre, by His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, the Alake & paramount ruler of Egbaland

Why did the owner who lives in the US decide to set up this impressive investment in Abeokuta? This and many more were the questions CityPeople wanted her to talk about.

The owner is US-based Omooba Adenike Taiwo Luwaji Ogundimu, an accomplished woman of excellence who is from the popular Luwaji Dynasty of Egbaland.

Why did she decide to set up the place? And what are the unique features of the Centre?

It has always been my dream to have a project in Abeokuta in honor of my parents and to bring the Luwaji Dynasty into focus in Abeokuta.

When my father Prince Felix Oludotun Luwaji passed on exactly 16 years ago, the responsibility fell on me to find a befitting/royal reception venue for our guests.

I went all round but couldn't find a place that could accommodate our guests, under one roof. I finally had to go to His Royal Majesty, The Alake of Egbaland. Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo to ask for permission to use the palace ground for my dad's burial reception. He obliged. From then on I've had this burden to have a sizable event hall.

We got her to talk about her Egba links."I was born, raised and schooled in Abeokuta. Both my parents were from Abeokuta. My great-grandfather was Alake of Egbaland. My father contested alongside the father of the present Alake. My grandfather Prince Josephus Adeboye Luwaji was the Balogun of Itoku. My paternal grandmother was from the Kuforiji family of Kenta Abeokuta. My mother Emily Oluremi Akanke was from the Dasaolu family of Ijeun Abeokuta."

"I am all round and 100% Abeokuta" son of the soil".

Totally and proudly Egba girl."

What are we to expect at the royal opening? "The commissioning will be by the Alake of Egbaland,  the presence of royal fathers, dignitaries, political figures, religious leaders, professional groups, event vendors/decorators, govt officials, etc.

Music will be supplied by Evangelist Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi."
