The Iconic Brand Award, TIBA had its 4th award ceremony on
Saturday, November 5, 2022. The glamorous event which was held at Academy Guest
House and Events Hall in Ikeja, Lagos, has another version of it to be held in
Peckham, London on November 11, 2022.
TIBA awards is one of the Crystal Edge Professional Services'
events and it's aimed at recognising and celebrating trailblazers in the
business world many of whom are influential business strategists, leadership
experts, brand influencers, business owners, personal brands, senior
professionals and many more.
The awards ceremony is organised by Omobabinrin Adeola Osideko
(MSc, FCCA, CPA), who is one of the most powerful women in Africa. She has
helped create a thriving society where equality duly prevails. The highly
influential convener is not relenting but doing more in breaking barriers to
give people the courage to forge ahead on their seemingly rough road to
success.
The Lagos version of the awards was highly eventful. It was attended by many top brand personnel as over 66 awardees were celebrated and honoured with the prestigious TIBA Awards. Notable among them are the likes of Arise News, Microvest, Rotned International Foundation, Happivibe, Homes and Habitant Real Estate, Vedil Clothing, Kimly Events and More, Herries Styles, and CML Studios. Special guests at the event were Paul Foh, Kayode Abass, Yemi Faseun, Morenike Ogunnowo, Dr. Laide, Okubena, Chinedu Junior, Ihekwoaba, and Aderonke Salami.
The red carpet was very lively and inviting as the popular
Light_d_voice was its host. Within the duration of noon and 2 pm, guests had fun
on arrival while they await the commencement of the programme of the day. The
hall was decorated by Kimly Events and More. It made guests more relaxed and
ready for the occasion. Food and drinks were served in abundance as Ehis Kitchen made them available on request. Mc Dele Adeleke anchored the event flow
while Sammy Best Entertainment was the official music that entertained and
spiced up the day.
The welcome address was given by Hope Ozia while Omobabinrin
Adeola Osideko took her time to welcome the guest with a warm opening speech.
She said; “I’m very happy to see many of whom I have interacted with online,
but seeing them for the first time here brings me lots of joy.
“Thank you so much for suspending your activities to be here
today please make sure no one leaves here without enjoying him or herself
because TIBA brought you all to get to know each other and network, we know
that before the close of this event, you would have met a lot of new people,”
she said.
According to her, meeting people offline has always been her
joy. "I have met a lot of amazing people online but trust me, I have met
super amazing people offline. There is nothing compared to physical human
connection.
"This year-end is another great time to re-strategize and take your connection game offline to another level. TIBA2022 which stands
for The Iconic Brand Awards is an annual dinner, networking, awards and
red-carpet event.
"You will be having a sumptuous dinner while networking
with high-profile individuals in the business and professional fields. Premium
souvenir, opportunity to grace the red carpet and interview with the media
partners. A time to unwind and connect offline," she said.
This was followed by the presentation of the awards to
recipients by the likes of Aderonke Salami, Engr. Dr. MKO Balogun, Mr. Yemi
Faseun, Pastor Adeola Ogunnowo, Olubunmi Fabanwo, Mr Dipo Shonubi. In between
these awards were special and inspirational presentations. Blessing Oyatope
gave a lovely spoken word poetry presentation titled “While You Cry”. A tale of
celebrity teacher ‘Sade’ who got her first education at home from her husband.
"I have received many awards since I came to the limelight but I must confess
that this is the award I am most pleased with," Fauziyah Adegeye aka
Teacher Sade said.
Immediately after the presentation, the music band came on
stage to perform while guests were served sumptuous meals to complement their
fun. Towards the tail end of the event, the convener launched ‘Crystal Magazine’
as the entire hall celebrated the new fit achieved.
