As Oba (Engr.) Dr.Nurudeen Osoja, the Onikogbo of Ikogbo Kingdom prepares to celebrate his 15th Coronation Anniversary, he is set to honour some eminent and distinguished Nigerians.
Two of them are US-based Professor Oluwaseyi Olayinka Yusuf
and his pretty wife, Damilola. He is to be made Aare Bobagbimo of Ikogbo Kingdom
and his wife is to be made Yeye Oge of Ikogbo Kingdom.
This outstanding instructor and researcher, Oluwaseyi Olayinka
Yusuf (Ph.D.), who resides in the US, has over 20 years of expertise in
teaching, research, administrative structure, sports medicine, and health
policy. A humanitarian and serial entrepreneur, he has successfully brought
together a wide range of expertise to do research that has expanded the
boundaries of knowledge.
The list of numerous
(over fifty) scholarly articles in national and international journals serves
as proof of this.
He is a member of numerous international professional
organizations and serves on the editorial board of various academic periodicals
(American College of Sports Medicine; United Educators Association, USA; Texas
Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance;
International Wellness Experts, USA; National Interscholastic Athletic
Administrators Association, USA).
A fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and a
fellow of the Institute of Industrial Administration of Nigeria.
In addition to consulting for 4 international organizations,
many private businesses, and government organizations, Dr. Oluwaseyi also
serves as a visiting lecturer at 3 institutions. In his capacity as a scholar,
he has visited more than fifty nations.
Dr. Oluwaseyi is a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State
University in Oklahoma, United States of America, University of Lagos in
Nigeria, University of Ilorin in Nigeria, and the University of Calabar in Nigeria.
Prof. Oluwaseyi Olayinka Yusuf is in his mid-40s and a proud
Awori man from Lagos State, blessed with 3 wonderful children. He lives in
Lascolinas, Irving, Texas, with his lovely wife, Yeye Damilola Abimbola
Oluwaseyi (nee Williams).
He likes to travel, play tennis and golf, read, and spend time
with his family.
