DOYIN AMODU, President TAMPAN UK Talks About Her Association's Maiden Event In LONDON

It was a grand event in London on 28th October 2022 at Fresh Row Centre when members of TAMPAN UK came out to celebrate. They were joined by members from other parts of the world like Nigeria.

It was an evening of Cocktail Reception, African drums Networking, Awards, Dinner and many more.

The National President of TAMPAN Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin) flew in for the event, so also Movie icon, Prince Jide Kosoko, and others.

A few days back, Doyin Amodu, the President of TAMPAN UK spoke to CityPeople Publisher,  Seye Kehinde about the successful event.

How did the event go?

It went well. We just want to thank God. It was a successful event. Being our maiden event it wasn't bad at all. We had most of the home TAMPAN members who were in the UK in attendance. The Global President of TAMPAN, Otunba Bolaji Amusan, Secretary TAMPAN Board of Trustees, Prince Jide Kosoko........ and a host of other people were in attendance.

How many TAMPAN members flew in from Nigeria?

We had quite a good turn out from Nigeria. Like I said earlier, The Global President Otunba Bolaji Amusan and Prince Jide Kosoko were present. Also present were, Owolabi Ajasa, Foluke Daramola, Joseph Momodu, Lekan Bature to mention a few. We also had TAMPAN representatives from Germany led by the President TAMPAN Germany. Who came with some of his executives and their families, It was amazing.

Can you take us through the various segments of the event....

Arriving guests were first treated to a champagne and cocktail reception. I gave the opening and welcome address. Doyin Ola and Moji Bishi were the MC. This was followed by an address by the Global President which then led to the inauguration ceremony. Prince Jide Kosoko advised members and all present to strive to uphold our rich cultural heritage through theatrical acts while at the same time passing across positive attitude and behavioural changing messages.

Then we had some performances including a solo musical rendition by one of UK's artists Em Prince, poetic recitations by one of our own Queen Joe Akinlotan.

And of course there was music provided by one of UK's top DJs DJ Jaiddo.

Item no.7 was amazingly prepared on site by one of UK's top and certified caterer Yetty Olawoore. With the food having a side attraction of suya prepared on site by CEO of Palaces Suya Garden, Mrs Ronke Okonkwo.

All in all, the music was fantastic, the food amazing and the ambiance refreshing.
