CityPeople Media Group is honouring the 40 eminent Nigerians, business enterprise and government agencies at the 25th edition of its annual CityPeople Awards for Excellence holding presently at the ETAL Event Hall in Ikeja Lagos.
Below are the full list of recipients at the glamorous awards

Mr. Micheal Orobosa Ubogu
Mr. Micheal Orobosa Ubogu was born on November 16th 1970, at Ashaka in Ndokwa East Local Govt Area of Delta State. He attended Ashaka primary school from 1974 – 1980 and Ibrede grammar school from 1980 – 1985. He also attended Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife where he graduated with honors in personnel management and industrial relation
He started his career at Union Dicon Salt Plc and left
in 1996 to join Dangote Industries Limited (Salt division) where he attained
the position of a production manager. He is the founder, MD/C.E.O of
Micura Services Ltd, a leading stevedoring and equipment leasing
company. He is a member of Chartered Institute of personnel management and
president of Business Men fellowship of (R.C.C.G) Joseph palace. He is vice
chairman of National Association of stevedoring companies - western zone. He
has travelled wide and far and attended many seminars and symposium
A recipient of many awards and recognition in the maritime industry among which
is national evergreen maritime merit award 2009, distinguished corporate
achievers gold award 2012, award of excellence by south – south community
Amuwo-Oriade L.L.DA Lagos State 2012 and many others.
He was recently awarded a chieftaincy title – Enyi Oha 1 of Alaukwu ohanze
Autonomous Community – Abia State.
He is also a recipient of fellowship of the Certified Institute of shipping and
an honorary fellow of Business Process Management Institute. He is married with
three children. He is being awarded the City People Special Award of
Excellence for his remarkable success in Business.
Lt. Gen. Ambassador Tukur
Yusuf Buratai (rtd)
Until he retired from service, His Excellency Lt. Gen.
Tukur Yusuf Buratai (rtd) was the Chief of Army Staff. He
had an accomplished career in the Military. After he left office, he was again
saddled with a fresh responsibility in the diplomatic world. He has always
provided exceptional leadership all the way.
It is for this reason that City People is
honouring Lt. Gen. Ambassador Buratai (rtd), this
evening with the Leadership In Public Service Award.
Oba Hammed Adekunle Oyelude
Makama
Oba Makama, the Olowu of Owu Kuta is
one of the most accomplished and colourful traditional rulers in Nigeria. He
recently celebrated his 10th Anniversary on the throne of a community he has
transformed phenomenally.

honouring Oba Makama, this evening with the Royal
Father of the Year Award.
Dr. Remi Awode
He is a big businessman who plays BIG in the Paint Industry. Engr.
Dr. Emmanuel Aderemi Awode is the Group MD of Chemstar
Paint Industry, manufacturers of Fine Coats. He was
the 2021 Lagos State Man of the Year.
