Lagos Celebrity Lady, Titilola, Talks About Her New Life At 50


In the next few days, Titilola will be 50. But she doesn't look it. She looks refreshingly young. Her job is to make other women look beautiful. She owns a fashion house where she sells clothings and accessories. No wonder she is very stylish.

The big news about Titilola is her 50th. And she is quite excited about it. How does she feel at 50?

Citypeople Publisher, Seye kehinde asked her that question a few days ago and she opened up on her success story at 50.

Below are excerpts of the interview.


What is the feeling like turning 50?

I feel grateful, I feel happy I feel blessed. My heart is full of gratitude to God for his grace upon my life to celebrate this milestone. If not for God, I would have been long forgotten.  I see Gods hands all around and to this am grateful.

About 23 years ago I was terribly sick I thought I will never make it my friends had started crying thinking had gone! I was a total right off ,10 pints of blood and 2 frozen plasma couldn’t save me but God showed up for me! He gave me a second chance to life and to this am always grateful.

What are the lessons life has taught you at 50?

Life has taught me to be patient to stay focused and be hopeful and just run your own race irrespective of what is happening around you!  In Gods time he will make all beautiful.

Tell us about Titilola...What kind of a person is she?

Titilola is a focused person whatever she set her hearts on she gets it done. She is proactive and always plan ahead.  She is beautiful inside out, caring and over protective of her loved ones. She is down to heart and no airs of pretense around her. She is fashion conscious and a great fashionista.

Tell us about your growing up years...Where were you born?

I was born at ikere  Ekiti in Ekiti state to the family of Late Micheal Adebayo Jegede of uro quarters in ikere and my Mrs Christianah Jegede of Ajaka compound.  Am the first and the only girl of my mum. I have 2 boys after me. Grew up with my family both nuclear and extended. We play by the streams by d evening and tales by moonlight at night.

My parents are teachers and this enables us to explore more schools and different towns in the state while they get moved from one locality to another.

How about your schooling and courses done?

I stared my primary Education at Baptist Day primary school ikere ekiti moved to saint Lukes primary school in ikere too before finishing my primary school leaving certificate at Dt Andrew primary school Usi ekiti. The movement is prompt by my parents transfer from one locality to another.

I also attended St Louis Grammar school ikere Ekiti for my secondary school Education and later proceed to Christs school Ado for my A levels.

After my lower sixth form I gained admission to ONdo state university where I bagged Bachelor’s degree in Zoology had my NYSC in ibadan and started work at Vanguard Media Limited and also have my Masters in Public health from University of Ibadan. I worked with Vanguard media starting from senior Advert Executive rising to Head advert southwest zone. Worked for about 19 years in all at Vanguard before retiring to start my own personal business.

What job do you do?

I have a fashion house where I sell men and women Clothings and accessories all imported from United States of America.

I also sell food stuffs and groceries all from US too.

Tell us about your husband and family...

My husband is Kehinde Joseph Olorundare. He is a chartered Accountant and the Chief finance officer in one of the top rated company in the financial service sector of Nigeria.

He is a very private person and does not enjoy publicity.

We are blessed with a Son
