She was decorated and installed with the highly-referred
"Erelu Abiye" title, a position
many celebrities long to occupy. With this, she joins the list of eminent
personalities that have bagged notable chieftaincy titles from the town.
The installation ceremony was a big and glamorous event. In fact, it was well planned and publicised as part of the week-long events put in place to mark the 20th coronation anniversary and birthday of a septuagenarian king; HRM Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Ola Ogunlaja, The Aladeshoyin of Odo-Noforija Kingdom.
Olori Mojirayo Elegushi joined the likes of Otunba Jaiyeola Daramola
and his loving wife; Yeye Olutoyin Omotayo Daramola as the Agbaakin and Yeye
Agbaakin of Odo-Noforija Kingdom respectively. The other newly installed chiefs
include the executive chairman of Eredo LCDA; Honourable Ismail Monsuru
Akinloye, Mr. Ibiyinka Thanni and an expatriate Mr. Michael Wingate.
They were all taken to the inner Palace to embark on the
traditional rites of the conferement of their respective titles while the king
gave his blessings as they joined the stakeholders and ambassadors of the town.
Upon the completion of rites, they all came out looking more
radiant and full of life as they were fully dressed in their full regalia and
signatory caps that showed the inscription of the new titles boldly
respectively written on them. They also have the symbolic leaves; "Ewo
Akoko" attached to their caps as
they filled in as they walked through the reception hall with HRM the
Aladeshoyin of Odo-Noforija.
Their arrival got most of the guests excited to see and
welcome the king and his newly installed chiefs. Meanwhile, they stood to give
them the required ovation. A moment many of them came to see having travelled
from a long distance to the Odo-Noforija Kingdom. It's indeed a worthwhile
experience for them, something they have been waiting to witness. Later on, HRM
Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi handed over a certificate of the title conferred on
each of the new chiefs to them. He took time to admonish and charge them to
work towards the development of Odo-Noforija Kingdom. He however congratulated
each of them as they came forth to receive their certificates.
