On Thursday 7th of July, 2022 history was made as Nigeria witnessed the unveiling of the first fully solar powered residential estate in the land. It is called Citadel Views Estate 2.0. The beautiful luxury edifice and estate is built very close to the popular Abraham Adesanya, off the high brow Lekki-Epe Express Way, Lagos state.

The party was done in grand style. It was held within the premises of the estate of the luxurious buildings. The unveiling of the estate captured lots of moments to relish. Right from 12 noon, the venue has been witnessing a series of arrivals and entry of guests. They stormed the venue looking lovely in their respective well styled outfits. By 2pm, the marquee talent mounted at the open space of the estate was almost filled to capacity. Shortly after the arrival of the GMD, Dr. Okonkwo and his loving wife, Mrs. Uchechi Okonkwo, the ceremony was set to start. They had a few photo sessions on the red carpet with some of his esteemed guests. The GMD later had a session with members of the press where he gave a detailed response to their question, most especially those related to the laudable Citadel Views 2.0 project. This was followed by an official signing on with major partners in the project. Notable among them are the likes of Twins Faja Nigeria, a top building materials dealer, and another top world beverages brand, Coca-cola.
The event proper started as the duo of MC Whalemouth and MC Funny Bone jointly anchored the event. They showed class and top notch professionalism. They held the hosts and the guests spellbound with their highly hilarious stand up comedic display. There was nothing like a dull moment at the event which lasted for over 5 hours. It was indeed filled with moments of glitz and glamour.
Giving the welcome address at the party was Mrs. Okonkwo, wife of the GMD of Citadel Views Estate. She is fondly called the CEO of Lagos. She welcomed the guests to the two in one event. She spoke on the goals and aspirations of the company as driven by her husband and mentor in the real estate business. She however expressed her optimism in achieving more in years to come.
Spicing up the day was the energetic display of young talented musical artist, Majeeed. He rolled out 3 tracks of his hits to entertain the audiences. He was highly celebrated as he left the stage for two other musicians that kept the high tempo of the occasion. Nigeria is truly blessed with lots of them and Citadel Views Estate has done well in projecting quite a number of them in its events.
CITADEL VIEWS FOUNDATION’S WASTE RECYCLING PROJECT
The need to separate and re-use waste to enhance a better life no doubt has prompted Citadel Views Foundation to embark on a generational life saving campaign. It is painstakingly already building a sustainable green estate to reduce necessary emissions which could put the climate at jeopardy. The world is presently talking about climate actions and as a way of bequeathing a safer and better planet to the generation un-born, it is partnering with notable companies like Coca-cola to ensure that waste generated, especially the bottles known as the PET can be recycled into another purpose. The foundation is bent on bringing about a behavioral change of recycling of waste within its estates. It also wants to use the proceed from the bombing waste management and recycling sector which in today’s market brings in about N60 to N80 for 60 pieces of used plastic bottles, measuring 1KG. Dr. Okonkwo being a philanthropist is now taking up the project and has promised to match up exactly the amount raised to empower and reach out to the children of the indigents that are unable to get sound education in the remotest part of the country. This would be part of his own little ways of giving back to society.
