On
Saturday 23rd July 2022, Chief {Princess} Comfort Folashade Omotade was
made the Mojibade of Egbaland. Let's tell you a bit
about her. She was born in Accra, Ghana in the sixties.
Chief (Princess) Comfort Folashade Omotade moved back to Nigeria in 1970, after the dispute between the Nigerian and Ghanaian Governments. She then moved to Ile-Ife where she attended University Tutorial College, now Oduduwa University where she was among the first set of students in the Ordinary and Advanced Levels class. Thereafter, she studied Sociology at the University of Ife.

Omotade Odumosu started working with the Nigerian
Ports Authority, with the assistance of Hon. Joshua
Ogunleye, the then President, Dock Workers of Nigeria from
1977-1995. She resigned from her post after 17 years to
establish her own Clearing and Forwarding business with
her own Custom license that read ATF ADE Nigeria LTD.
She later set up a weaving factory, where she started producing the type of
sacks we see in packaging Rice, Cement and Agrofeeds today.
Thereafter,
she became involved in the Oil business in the year 2000 and
established Geotech Oil Servicing Company, as well as RFO
Oil & Gas. She also went to open a Bureau-de-Change business
which was known as Sove Bureau-de-Change. She has offices in Lagos,
Abuja and Port-Harcourt.

Omotade Odumosu has been
honoured with many Chieftaincy titles in recognition of her
invaluable contributions to various Communities, some of which are: Yeye
Mesho of Ikare Akoko; Yeye Akogun of Igbobi, Sabe, Yaba; and Yeye Fiwa Gboye
of Ibadanland.
