The event started with a Church Service, that was held at
Christ Apostolic Church, Divine Solution Evangelistic Mission, Obantoko,
Abeokuta.
The church service was officiated by Pastor I.O.
Eiyebiokin-Essien, Pastor P.O. Idowu, Pastor A.A. Oduronbi, Pastor S.S.
Sorungbe, Evang. Samuel Akintunde and Evang. Israel O. Oladehin.
While speaking about Late Pa James Alao Sowunmi, many church
members revealed many things they've gained from him, plus how he has been a
good member of the Church and how he helped many church members to get jobs.
The after burial party reception was held at Abeokuta Sports
Club, Ibara, Ogun State. It was a classy party that saw many of his family
members and children, who were present to honour their late dad.
The party was anchored by Mrs. Funmilayo Ilesanmi, popularly
known as Irawo Ede, and the opening prayer was done by Pastor Richard
Olisekodiaka.
How 2 Musicians Performed @ 1 Party.
The high point of the party was when everyone saw 2 popular
musicians on stage, at the same time. Adigun & The Spice Band was on one
side and David Ayinde ( Kwam 2) was on the other side. When one of them sings
for 10 minutes, the other person will take over and also sing for 10 minutes.
How Eng. Olatunji Benjamin Sowunmi Dazzled At The Party
Engineer Olatunji & his lovely wife, Tope stole the show,
as all their friends from Port Harcourt, came out to celebrate with them.
Also present were members of High Man Port Harcourt. They are
Chairman Felix Kuku, Captain John, Mr. Joe Douglas, Mr. Austin Idiake, Mr. Tayo
Odulana, Mr. Ken, Mr. Valo Obasuyi, Mr. Leye Duntaye, Mr. Tony Eguando, Engr.
Gabriel Akoh and Mr. Ade Adeniyi.
Other prominent people
are Chief Dotun Sanusi (CEO of Ilaji Hotel & Sports Resort), Prof. Badmus,
Eng. Tunde olanubi, Mr. Wola Olanubi, Mr. Kayode Omolasho, Hon. Emma Deeyoh,
Mr. Sola Akintoye and others.
Late Pa James Alao Sowunmi is survived by his wife, Mrs. Aderayo
Sabaina Sowunmi, and accomplished children like Engineer Olatunji Benjamin
Sowunmi, Mrs. Folake Adesanya, Mrs. Kemi Odusote, Mrs. Banke Lawal, Mr.
Olanrewaju Sowunmi, Mr. Kolawole Sowunmi and many grandchildren.
The event ended with everyone enjoying lovely music by DJ 2 Short.
