At The Burial Party Of Oba Makama's Mum-in-Law, Alhaja Musiliat Adeyinka Anike Igbalaye In OSOGBO.

 

On Saturday 12th March 2022, the ancient city of Osogbo in Osun state was full of life when the Olowu of Kuta Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Oba Hameed Adekunle Makama Oyelude held a star-studded burial ceremony for his mother-in-law, Alhaja Musiliat Anike Igbalaye.

 

As at 11 am on that day, all roads led to the popular Technical College in Osogbo, the venue of the ceremony which featured the Fidau prayer and Grand reception party in honour of the deceased. In her lifetime, Alhaja Igbalaye was a highly respected woman and mother of Olori Fatimo Oyelude, the beautiful wife of the Olowu Kuta.

 She was a woman of great virtue and a Muslimah to the core. Until her death, she was the Aare Alasalatu of the Islahudeen Society of Nigeria, Osogbo branch. She died on 28th  January and her body had been committed to mother earth, according to Islamic rights.

The venue of the event witnessed a large pool of top celebrities from all works of life. They all came around to felicitate with Oba Makama, his wife; Olori Fatimo and the entire Igbalaye family who lost their matriarch.

Notable among them are top dignitaries like the Ambassador Of Nigeria to the Republic of Benin, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Tukur Buratai (who was the former Chief of Army Staff), Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State; former Osun state governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola; PDP governorship aspirant, Senator Ademola Adeleke and a whole lot of others. The arrival of each of them was massive and greeted with lots of accolades.

Topping the list of Traditional rulers who graced the party were the likes of the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji; the Ajalaye of Ipetu Ijesa Oba Adeleke Agunbiade Oke; the Oloffa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi; the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal and many others were over 50. Their presence alone added glamour to the party.

Two different top musicians performed simultaneously on stage. Talented Fuji artist, Prof. Bola Bollington and his band took charge of the main stage, while Juju music icon, Yinka Ayefele and his band entertained guests at the other end. Both stages were lively as the hosts and dignitaries rocked and had fun. The party really had moments of great fun that many people would relish for a long.

Foods and drinks amidst other snacks were in abundance. They were provided at the beck and call of the guests as over 20 Catering Services were strategically stationed at different locations to cater to the demand of guests. They all treated the guests at the event to a tasteful delight.
