The University of Ibadan Muslim Graduates Association (UIMGA)
on Sunday 27th February 2022, doles out a total sum of N1,160,000 at N40.000
per beneficiary for undergraduate indigent students from the University of
Ibadan, University of Ilorin, Osun State University, Osogbo and Lautech
Ogbomoso.
This year's award, which was held at the University of Ibadan Central Mosque, is the 16th annual edition with the objective of providing
support for undergraduate Muslims having financial challenges.
Speaking at the event, National President, Alhaji Imran
Abdulmajeed, implored the students to dedicate their time and resources to
their academics so as to be relevant to themselves and society. He reiterated
the immeasurable value of education and how it sets people in a vantage
position to harness many opportunities.
Prof. Rashid Aderinoye, a member of UIMGA BOT and ex-National
President also shared personal experience of many challenges that the student
may face in the course of academic journey and the place of God at the centre
of all challenges. He advised that no level of academic knowledge should
dissuade anyone from doubting the supreme power of God.
The beneficiaries applaud the kind and selfless gesture of the
association as they receive the sum of N40,000 each, and pray for God’s mercy
and recompensing kindness for the Association and all its members.
