Seyi Edun is a big name in the movie world. Many simply call her Shai. On Sunday 13th, February 2022, this popular actress officially launched her, Shaiworld Luxury Store @ 70, Ogunnusi Road, Akiode bus stop, Beside Hubmart, Omole phase 1, Lagos State.
It was a red carpet event in an open-air compound, in front of the shop.
The event started with a prayer by Mrs. Funke Adeyera, while Prophet Gbogunmi blessed the shop, Seyi Edun and her husband, star actor, Adeniyi Johnson.
The shop was well set with beautiful rope lights and beautiful interior decoration and the lovely shelves were stocked with beautiful lingerie and lovely ready-to-wear dresses, and tops. There were also Kampala up and down cotton materials and African prints, like Ankara and Kampala materials and beautiful turban caps, in varieties of colours.
Seyi wore 3 lovely dresses. Two of the dresses are gold and cream colours, with cord lace embroidery, while she later wore a wine Africa Kampala tail gown. And her husband, Adeniyi Johnson wore a plain and patterned Buba and Sokoto, with a pair of face caps.
Butterfly Event and Rentals was in charge of the table covers, which was black cotton flowered materials and luxury gold chairs with center flowers on them. And Party Chef was in charge of food and drinks.
Few other vendors were also in attendance at the grand opening, like Salami Rafiat Ajoke, the CEO Fruitees by Ajoke, Ibironke Thompson, the CEO of Ajoke Oni Garri. They all showcased their goods.
MC Pencil G anchored the event, while the Commissioner for Tourism in Lagos State, Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile Yussuf and Mrs. Funke Adeyera were the first clients to patronise the shop, while others like popular actress, Fathia Williams and fabric merchant, Awele and lots of friends and colleagues also patronised her new store.
World-famous Boye Best and his Royal band thrilled the guests with beautiful and melodious songs.
There were Special appearances like Genesis Global Church Prophet, Dele Ogundipe, beautiful and gorgeous TV diva, Doyin Kukoyi and lots of beautiful and handsome movie stars like Biodun Okeowo, Laide Bakare, Kunle Afod, Kehinde Adeyemi, Hadiza Abubakar, Femi Apefe, Apankufo, Jigan Baba Oja, Soji Taiwo, Titi Osinowo, Mide F.M, Afeez Owo, Kemi Korede, Saga of Big Brother, Kudi Alagbo, Oyinade Adegbenro, Aisha Fasasi and many more.
A lot of Lagos socialites were also in attendance like Asiwaju Arowolo Bakare Akeem, Prince Oladotun Ajilesoro, Kayode Wright, Samuel Gray, Pina, Tina Dubai, Mayegun and many more.
It was fun all through and a nice Sunday evening.
