Recently, members of Nollywood UK alongside friends and family of Theodora Ibekwe-Oyebade joined her at the Most Precious Blood & St. Edmund’s RC Church Edmonton London for the celebration of life of her mother Lady Philomena Ibekwe.
The occasion was graced by Nollywood UK who is who.
Also in attendance were different community leaders and representatives from different
organisations, most of which she is a member. The turnout was an attestation
to the fact that Mrs. Theodora Ibekwe-Oyebade, the current President, Actors
Guild of Nollywood UK, TV presenter, and Philanthropist is a respected figure in
the community.
In their speeches, the Late Lady Philomena was
described as selfless and loving. She was also said to be a disciplinarian and an
educationist. Those who read her biography and life stories did so with fond
memories.
To celebrate a life well spent, the colour white
was the order of the day. This colour symbolises purity, cleanliness, freshness, and rebirth. For a woman who lived a fulfilled life, white is a colour of joy and
it was quite befitting.
Lady Philomena Ibekwe is survived by children, grandchildren in-laws, and other family members.
