•How
They Wore 6 Different Aso Ebi's For The Event
When
Lagos celeb lady and CEO of Ebony Life TV, Mo Abudu hosted family and friends
to her daughter, Temidayo’s traditional wedding in Lagos, all routes that led to
Victoria Island stood still for hours as many celebrity men and women stormed
the party to honour her. It was not only the Abudus alone, it was also for the
wealthy Lagos family, the Makanjuola’s as well. And you can only imagine what
calibre of guests that will attend such wedding. The groom’s mother and top
business woman, Casandra Makanjuola pulled a large crowd of celebrity women to
the party. Mo and Tokunbo Abudu’s daughter, Temidayo popularly called Ted Abudu
got married at a spectacular wedding to Carverto Helicopter Boss, Remi
Makanjuola’s son, Adebola.
All
the parking lots at Oriental Hotel where the engagement and reception took
place were filled to the brim with exotic cars of many important personalities
who came to honour the Abudus/Makanjuolas. Traffic was on lock down for over 4
hours. All the adjacent parking lot outside the hotel were also full of cars.
The
event took place at the Grand Ball room of the Hotel. The colours for the day
was Baby pink for the brides family, while gold and green was for the grooms
family. Almost all the celebrity women and ladies wore the Aso ebi which was
sold for 220k a package. The event had 6 aso ebis and all came out beautifully
well on all the guests. There were 3 types of aso ebi which was picked by the
bride’s mother, we gathered one set was sold for 55k, 2nd set was sold for 70k
while the 3rd set was sold for 95k, totaling 220k. There is also another aso
ebi which was picked by the brides grandmother, Mrs. Akintunde from all of Mo
Abudu’s family from Ondo. The groom's family had 2 aso ebis in colours of Gold
and green and it was also worn by all of their family, friends and well
wishers. All the aso ebi’s are very unique. It is a combo of tulle lace,
guipure lace and chantilly lace. While some paired theirs with baby pink aso
oke headgear others went with fushia pink combo. The green headgear from the
grooms family is also very unique and it was worn on handcut type lace. The
over 1000 aso ebi was supplied by popular fabric store, Sefaari fabrics.Lagos
society woman, Bisola Giwa Osagie, the pretty niece of popular fabric merchant,
Chief Mrs Dupe Sagoe dressed up Mo Abudu and her daughter. She is an ex banker
who sells strictly Swiss fabrics at her shop, UZZ fabrics store. She supplied
the 2 chantilly lace Mo Abudu wore for the wedding and also the brides second
outfit. The brides first outfit Chantilly fabric was supplied by Foradora
fabrics.
Give
it to our society women, guipure lace is not for the faint hearted, it takes
someone that is very stylish and fashionable that can wear it because it is
very edgy and heavy. This was what all the celebrity women wore and they added
a lot of glamour to the party. Do we need to tell you about their accessories,
yes!! Expensive pieces you must guess, most of them dazzled in diamonds which
was sort of a competition between the celebrity women, even the ones that are
not wearing bogus necklace played their outfits up with diamind studs. While
some settled for gold, some also decided to pearl their outfit off. It was a
showcase of style at the party.
The
2 colours did justice to guests outfit as it came out nice on everyone. Bride’s
friends also dazzled in another set of colourful black net lace paired with a
fushia pink aso oke headgear. All the aso oke for the party was supplied by
Tisbee Aso oke while the aso oke worn by the bride’s mother was supplied by kijipa
couture. They all stunned in their different styles with statement jewelries.
It was indeed the couple’s day and their mothers shone like a star hence they
enjoyed their day to the fullest. Leading the park were the couple’s mothers,
Mo Abudu and Casandra Makajuola. They were everyone’s delight at the party,
They were the cynosure of all eyes as all guests kept staring at their ageless
beauty. To say they are very fashionable is simply stating the obvious. Anytime
they step out at events, they are indeed a head turner. Mo Abudu opted for a
unique and expensive outfit which stood her out. Her first and second outfit,
chantilly fabrics, silver grey and powdered blue were supplied by Bisola Giwa
Osagie of Uzz Fabrics and both dresses were tailored by Lanre Da Silva Ajayi,
the brain behind the popular custom LDA brand. The diamond jewelries she wore
on her 2 outfits is worth over 10million naira and was supplied by her friend
and international jelwerist, Veenu. Her aso oke was made by Adewale Adegbaiye
Kijipa of Kijipa couture and beautifully made up by naija's queen of make-up,
Banke Meshida.
Also
the bride’s mother, Casandra Makanjuola wore an expensive all sequenced cream
coloured tulle lace matched with a multicolour headgear. She opted for a blouse
and wrapper which suited her tall frame. she glammed her outfit up with an
expensive coral jewelry. Her fair skin and glowing body did justice to all that
she was putting on. This classy event was graced by 3 Ex first ladies, H.E fmr
first lady of Lagos state, Abimbola Fashola and wife of the minister for works,
power and housing, H.E , former first lady of Cross Rivers, Obioma Imoke and
H.E, former first lady of Anambra state, Margaret Obi. They were at the
traditional engagement and also had a nice time at the reception party. They
all wore the expensive guipure lace aso ebi with basket pink aso oke
headgear.Amongst the first callers of the day were Lagos society matriachs,
Senator Florence Ita Giwa and Hajia Abba Folawiyo. We need not explain how good
they looked for the party, they sat beside each other, gisted, dined and wined
till they left late in the evening. Mo Abudu’s close friends of many years, who
