WHY OSOSA KING, OBA TOYE ALATISHE STANDS OUT
Whenever the Gbegende of Ososa, Oba (Dr.) Toye Alatishe steps out at parties, all eyes turn in his direction He is tall and ruggedly handsome. And he is also very stylish. He is the King of Ososa Ijebu, a sleepy town in the outskirts of Ijebu-Ode, in Ogun State. His official title is the Gbegande of Ososa Ijebu. He was installed on the 7th of August 2010. He is a Medical Doctor, Oba Adetoye Mojeed Alatishe was born in Ijebu-Ode into the famous Balogun Alatishe family of Ogunroyega ruling house, Ososa on October 1st 1956. His mother is from Isado in Ijebu-Ode from the royal Adeneye-Agbasale family.


He had his primary school at Christ Church School, Porogun Alapo in Ijebu-Ode for his First School Leaving Certificate between 1962 and 1967, his zeal and passion for education motivated him to proceed further in his educational career at the Ijebu Muslim College, Ijebu Ode where he obtained his Secondary School Leaving Certificate between 1968 – 1972.
Oba Alatishe had a six month sojourn (Jan-June 1973) at the Federal School of Science, Onikan, Lagos after which he then got admitted into Adeola Odutola College in Ijebu-Ode for his A level certificate between September 1973-1975.


Thereafter, with the assistance of late Chief Olabisi Onabanjo, the first civilian Governor in Ogun State, he got a Federal Government Scholarship into First Moscow Medical Institute, Moscow, USSR where he studied Medicine to become a qualified Medical Practitioner.
During his school days, he was the Games Prefect at Christ Church, Porogun Alapo Primary School and the Press Secretary at Ijebu Muslim College in Ijebu-Ode.


Oba Alatishe was a member of the drama group at Ijebu Muslim College where he acted as “Oba” in many playlets including Efunsetan Aniwura. He however, played a distinct role as a member of hockey team at Adeola Odutola College, Ijebu Ode in 1975.


He was also the team manager of Adeola Odutola College Football team during the period the team defeated the famous Government College, Ibadan Football team to carry the first edition of Principal Cup in Old Western State of Nigeria in 1974, Principal Cup for that year. This victory was celebrated all night in Ijebu Ode.


During his school days at First Moscow Medical Institute, Moscow USSR, he emerged as the President of the Nigeria Student Union, Russia and he ensured that student of the institution are fairly  treated by the management of the institution in a bid to achieving qualitative qualification from the institution.


His active role during his tenure as the President of the Nigeria Medical Student facilitate his election as the President facilitate his election as the President of the African Medical Students Moscow in 1981.
Oba Alatishe was a socialite, he joined a musical band in Moscow, an organization in which he played a distinct role for solid two years.

After his graduation in Moscow in 1982, he worked in many medical institutions before he finally established his own private hospital. These include the Military Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State, between 1983 – 1984. He was the Medical Officer in charge of Dr. Adeoye Hospital, Omitowoju; Felele Hospital, all at Ibadan between 1983-1984. He was also the Medical Officer State Hospital, Ijebu-Ode between 1984-1986,

Oba Dr. Toye Alatishe has keen interest in providing a good and qualitative health care services for his people and as a result he established a Medical Institution in Ijebu Ode (Alatishe Clinic) since 1986 till date.

He is the Chairman/CEO Pamadite Ventures, founder PAMA Group of Companies and a  Kaplan Scholar USA, 1999.


Oba Alatishe held several leadership positions since 1999 till date and this include Member Hospital Management Board Ogun State, 1999 – 2000.


He was elected as Ijebu-Ode Local Government Chairman on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2004, a position where he served for three and half years and made meaningful contributions towards the growth and development of his council area. He initiated numerous projects which alleviated poverty and put food on the tables of the people.
His articulate performance as the Council Chairman in Ijebu Ode Local Government fast-tracked his appointment as the Executive Secretary, Ogun State Primary Healthcare Development Board in a bid to taping his numerous experiences in the medical sector to further develop health care system in the state.


Oba Alatishe was the Chairman, Ogun State Primary Health Care Development Board. Before he became King he had received chieftaincy titles across the length and breadth of Ogun State, he is the Basorun Egbe Bobakeye Akile Ijebu, Akeweje Egbe Gbobanyi of Ijebuland, Jagunmolu of Odo-Arawa, others include Akingbayi of Itori Egba land, Asiwaju of Kuto Abeokuta, Baba Adinni of Obalende Mosque, Ijebu-Ode, and recently the Jagunmolu Adinni of Ijebuland.


Oba Alayeluwa, Adetoye Mojeed Alatishe is loved by young and old in Ososa Ijebu, hence his appointment by the kingmakers of the town as the new Gbegande of Ososa Ijebu in a bid to using his wealth of experience in an spheres of life to bring about even development and put the town on a new pedestal of excellence.


Oba Dr. Adetoye Alatishe loves to play all kinds of games, Tennis, Football, Swimming, Horse Riding, Debates, Dancing and Culture.
He is happily married to Olori Adetokunbo Adijat (nee Lawal of Ebute Ero, Lagos). They both have 3 beautiful children who are all professionals in their own right.
