FACES AT OBA SAHEED ELEGUSI's BROTHER's WEDDING IN LAGOS


It was a display of diamond and gold jewellery on Saturday 13 January, 2018 as Oba Saheed Elegushi and  Alhaji Azeez Oladunjoye’s family came together to officially perform the wedding solemnization between Muibat Eniola Oladunjoye and Prince Abdul Yekini Oladunjoye Elegushi in grand style. The wedding was a show-stopping event as it paraded big babes and boys who make Victoria Island to bubble. The event took place there.

Not only was the Harbour Point main arcade filled to the brim with about 3,000 guests for Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Harbour point extension which is a 3,000 seat hall was also bursting at the seam with the Oladunjoye’s guests. As expected, the crème-de-crème from different walks of life, CEOs of companies, celebrities, politicians, and traditional rulers took turns to honour one of their own. City People Assistant Society Editor, ABIOLA ORISILE and Society Reporter, TITILOPE OGUNLEYE were at the event to serve you hot gists. Below is there report


IT WAS A PERFECT ROYAL WEDDING

The ‘ENIOYE‘ themed wedding was classy. The array of luxury cars that were parked within the Harbour Point premises, where the wedding took place spoke volume about the opulence displayed. The royal blue and white wedding was one of it’s kind  as the venue of the wedding was transformed by one of the best hands in the industry. Finneseevent handled the decor, Mrs. Yewande Zachaues of Eventful made sure everything was on point.  She is one of the best hands when it comes to event planning and decoration. She was fully on ground to make sure that all went as planned.

The Harbour Point main auditorium,  was evidence of a beautiful work of art. The table covers were white, while, fresh flowers spotted at the centre of the tables gave the venue a romantic frangnance. The chairs were beautifully arranged to allow many of the guests appreciate the couple’s corner, which was fully decorated. To say that it was a site to behold is an understatement. The Harbour Point extension was also decorated with white and teal green. It was a perfect decoration for a royal wedding.



OBA SAHEED ELEGUSHI STANDS IN FOR HIS FATHER,  OBA YEKINI ELEGUSHI

Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Ikusenla, the elder brother of the groom, was fully on ground to make sure that his younger brother’s wedding was classy. Though, Oba Yekini  Adeniyi Elegushi, the father of Kabiyesi Elegushi, has joined his ancestors, all the Elegushis came out in their numbers to make sure their brother had the biggest wedding in town. Oba Saheed Elegushi looked all glam in champagne-gold aso-oke  and sat beside his mum, Oloori Sinatu Elegsuhi. King Gushi as he is fondly called has a great fashion sense, no doubt. He dazzled many with his fashion and style as many couldn’t take their eyes off his ankle royal beads,  which had a pure 18carat gold stopper.



THE BRIDES MOTHER, SAIDAT OLADUNJOYE’S, JOY KNEW NO BOUND

If there was anybody whose joy knew no bounds at the event, it was the mother of the bride, Mrs. Saidat Oladunjoye, who is a former Commissioner for Education and now Commissioner for Commerce and Industry Lagos State She was full of thanks, seeing many top government officials, who all came to show support to her as her daughter walked down the aisle. Mrs. Oladunjoye was first sighted in champagne-gold attire during the traditional engagement before she later changed into a teal-black lace matched with pure diamond jewellery. Highly respectful Saidat, who sat beside her darling husband, Alhaji Abdul Azeez Abimbola Oladunjoye, couldn’t contain her joy as her daughter, Eniola, danced in a  few minutes past 4pm for the engagement.



MEET SAHEED ELEGUSHI’S 65-YEAR OLD MUM

Oba Saheed Elegushi’s mum, Yeye Sinatu Titilayo Elegushi, didn’t look her age at her son’s wedding. Yeye Oba as she is fondly called looked ageless as she sat beside her son, Oba Elegushi, during the Engagement. She was clad in a champagne-gold attire, which she matched with a pure luxury  gold shoes and bag. Not many know that the 65years old mother of King Gushi is from Edo state. Her elder sister, Mrs Bosede Tayoyo and Alhaja Modinat Abiodun Daudu were among many who came to felicitate with her as her last son walked down the aisle.



BRIDE AND GROOM ARE LAWYERS

Do you know that the handsome groom, Prince Yekini Elegushi, and his darling wife, Muibat, are Lawyers? They are one of the biggest lawyers in town and even met in the course of their profession. The tall and handsome groom is a graduate of UNILAG and had master’s degree in international Law. He runs his private law firm after working briefly with M.A Banire Law firm in Lagos where he met his wife, Eniola, in 2014.  Now, Eniola works with Chapel Legal firm in Lagos. The beautiful bride was a cynosure of all eyes in a coral with touch of turquoise blue and gold fully embellished Komole bridal line from international designer, Adeola Siego.  Her beautiful bridal make-up was by Banke Meshida of BMPro, while her shoes were  from,  an Italian designer, “Renecaovila‘.  Kudos to “thewardtobemanager“ who styled the bride, Eniola dazzled many again when she stepped out in a Nude fully stoned with crystals komole buba and iro from Deola Siego while her special aso-oke  from ‘‘Super Q‘ was well wrapped by “Onigele‘.  Even the handsome groom, couldn’t take his eyes off his beautiful wife as he was intermittently, stealing a look at her with admiration.



MRS BOLANLE AMBODE REPRESENTED THE GOVERNOR

Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, the pretty wife of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode was one of the early callers who came to show love and support to Mrs Saida Oladunjoye, the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry. Mrs Ambode was seated between the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Alhaja Adebule, and the bride’s mum, while she also wore a royal-blue lace, which was the colour theme of the day.   She was there in her capacity to represent her husband and  she spent many hours before she left.



AN ARRAY OF OBAS

No fewer than 30 Obas came to felicitate with one of their own, Oba Saheed Elegushi. Some of them witnessed the engagement and spent many hours at the grand reception. OLOORI SEKINAT ELEGUSHI SHONE LIKE A STAR

If you know how much eye Oloori Sekinat Aramide Elegushi has for details, you won’t be surprised that she looked much more like a new bride at her brother-in-law’s wedding. She was first spotted looking royal in a white fitted blouse on special aso-oke skirt by Bimms.  Her royal coral beads sat so well on her neck.  Her second appearance was in the royal blue aso-oke, which was beautifully transformed to match her body frame. Her luxury diamond jewellery was specially ordered from Jewellery Affairs.  Her royal blue shoes and purse were items that guests have not stopped talking about till date. This beautiful wife of King Saheed Ademola Elegushi has never put a wrong foot in the style sector and her rich sense of style is so potent.



SADE OKOYA AND KOFO ADEBUTU PARTY TOGETHER

At few minutes past 5pm, the whole guests in the hall shifted their attention to the hall entrance as the pretty angels of 2 Lagos billionaires, Dr Sade Okoya, the style-personified wife of Aare of Lagos, Chief Rasak Akani Okoya walked in. She was not alone, with her was the Otun Yeye Oge of Lagos, Kofoworola Adebutu, the elegant wife of Chief Kessington Adebutu. They were both quickly provided  seats at the head table for A-list celebrities. Many couldn’t take their eyes off the eye-popping diamond jewellery worm- by the style icon herself, Sade Okoya, as her beautiful make-up and jewellery made statement.



SADE ADESOYE WAS THERE

Who is the most sought-after diamond and gold merchant in Lagos, and you will be told that it is no other person than Chief (Mrs) Folasade Adesoye, the wife of Otunba Gbaderogun of Ijebuland. She runs a  popular upscale jewellery store on Victoria Island called “Jewellery Affairs and she has been running the business for the past 10years. That is the only place many style icons now buy gold and diamond jewellery  in Lagos. Her pretty daughters have also introduced the baby range of the product, where  babes can also buy smaller range of gold pieces.  She enjoyed the event with her husband, Otunba Gboyega Adesoye and Mufuti Savage, one of his childhood friends.



TRADITIONAL WEDDING HANDLED BY ILE-OKOYA

The traditional wedding between Eniola Muinat and Prince Yekini was one of its kind and that was because it was handled by one of the biggest engagement anchors in Nigeria, “Ile-Okoya“. She started about 12years ago and she has made her way into the circle of the  high and mighty in Nigeria who always want her to handle their kids wedding. She was also at her best at the “Enioye 2018‘ wedding. She made sure only a few hours were spent and made the event as memorable as expected. She also presented the Ile-Okoya wedding throw pillows to the couple after the engagement.



APC CHIEFTAINS STORM @HARBOUR POINT

Many APC chieftains shifted their base to Harbour Point on Victoria Island for many hours that Eniola and Yekini Elegushi’s wedding lasted. Don’t forget that Oba Saheed Elegushi was an astute politician before he became the king many years ago. Among many sighted were Senator Bariyu Gbenga Ashafa, Hon Wasiu Eshilokun (Deputy Speaker Lagos State), Mrs Kemi Nelson (Women Leader APC),  Muiz Banire(SAN), Alhaji Mutiu Are,  Hon. WALE SARANDA‘S WIFE  DIDNT PARTY WITH HER BESTFRIENDS

Oloori Barakat Akamo, Erelu Folasade Animashaun and Asabi Saranda‘s are known as celebrity friends, who party together. You hardly see one without the others. Though, Erelu Abike Animashaun is based in Lagos, but distance has never been an issue when it comes to their friendship of over 15years. They are successful women, who are also backbone of their husbands. Many were surprised when they partied penultimate weekend without Asabi Saranda. When the Elegushi throw parties, be  assured that the only musician of the day would be King of Fuji himself,  Wasiu Ayinde. He is the only musician, who can get a highly reserved Prince of Lagos, Segun Oniru, on his feet. Ask that at what point will Akinsiku of Lagos storm the dance floor, and you will be told it is when  king of music starts to sing “Woro“. That is a special line of traditional music, which K1 sings for the likes of Akinsiku, Aremo Segun Oniru and Oba Elegushi.  At the Elegushi‘s wedding,  K1 was also at his best and as expected, he dazzled the  bigger boys so much  that Oba Elegushi, despite his busy schedule, was seen dancing at intervals to  the special beats of King of Fuji.

Watching Mrs Saidat Oladujoye from  a distance, you may not know that she has given birth to  5 kids. She is blessed with good look, flawless skin and sound health. Though, the bride is her only daughter, she is also blessed with 4 sons, who are also doing so well in their chosen careers. Her 4 sons wives were up and doing at the event, making sure all went as planned. Her sons are: Lanre Oladunjoye(husband of Lola), Sola Oladunjoye (husband of Sola), Bola Oladujoye( husband of Ireayo), Dele Oladunjoye(Husband of Moradeke) and Gboyega Oladunjoye.

Best hands in event planning and management were handsomely paid to handle Yekini and Eniola’s wedding. The grand Matron of Event Planning and Coordination. Eventful, was fully in charge with her neat and well mannered ushers. The Queen of Drinks, Bonix, was also fully on top of her game. Spicy Chinese foods and finger-licking sea foods were done by Celebrity Vendor, Party Chef owned by Tade Ayeni. Laredo handled the Small Chops. Bonix was in charge of Chapman while Malas foods also served.
