This is the inspiring story of a successful US-based Nigerian Mr Abimbola Oladipupo Odunela, who is doing so well and who will soon be made a Chief of Ikogbo Kingdom by Oba Engr Nurudeen Oluwadare Osoja.
In a matter of weeks, he will be made the Aare Bobakeye of Ikogbo Kingdom. He is a Christian, Veteran, husband, father, and son.
CityPeople recently got him to tell us about his success story. "I am from Ijebu Ode, in Ogun State. I started my education at Ladi Lak Institute, Akinwunmi Street, Sabo Yaba Lagos. I gained admission to Ijebu Ode Grammar School for my Secondary School education."
"I was there for a few years before moving to Maryland
Comprehensive Secondary School where I obtained my SSCE. I did my Ordinary
National Diploma (OND) at Ogun State Polytechnic, now Moshood Abiola
Polytechnic, Ojere, Ogun State. I did my Higher National Diploma at Lagos State
Polytechnic. I did my NYSC with Bayelsa State House of Assembly. I started
working with Lanre Odede &Co (Chartered Accountants) as an accounting trainee.
We worked as External Auditors for Dangote Group and Promasidor Company."
" I worked briefly as Internal Control Officer with Alpha
Beta Company before I relocated to the United Kingdom. I was in the United Kingdom for
few years before relocating to the United States where I joined U.S Army as a
Logistic Specialist. I worked with U.S. Army for 8 years after deploying to
Iraq in 2010.
I obtained my Masters
in Business Administration from Saint Martin’s University, Olympia, Washington
State. USA.
"I am married to Busayo Odunela, father to 3 lovely
girls, son to Late Alhaji Ganiyu Adebisi Odunela and Chief Mrs. Olusola Odunela
(Iya Oba of Ode Omu). I am the last of my siblings."
