On Friday 28th January 2022 the children and the family
members of Olatunji bid their Matriarch, Deaconess Christiana Ajiun Ayinde Akinola Olatunji farewell.
Many dignitaries from
all walks of life stormed Abeokuta to
honour this great and virtuous woman, who died at the age of 80years.
It was not a surprise to see how many people trooped out for
this burial in Abeokuta over the weekend. Why? Because Mama Deaconess Christiana
Ajiun Olatunji undoubtedly lived a fulfilled life. Many good things were said
about her, even in the church of God where she served God diligently before
answering the call of God.
One of her daughters, Deaconess Florence Olabisi Kuti described her late mother as a great role model who is going to be missed by many people, " My mother, my hero, my gist partner, Abiyamo tooto and very energetic woman. You were a role model to all your children and all people around you, you liked to make many people around you happy. You taught us to believe in God for everything. You were a virtuous woman who always said we should strive for the best. Thank you for making me a woman I am today, I love you but God loves you most. No one can fill your vacuum in my heart. Sun re o my dearest mother. Abiyamo like no other. My Children will miss you a lot".
The funeral service for Deaconess Christianah Ajiun Ayinde Akinola Olatunji was
held at Christ Anglican Church Egba
Diocese in Ijemo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, while entertainment of guests took place at Abeokuta Sports Club's newly built Event Center after Mama was laid to rest at Lantoro Cemetery in Abeokuta.
It was indeed a day of merriment with all kinds of foods and
assorted drinks for all the guests that came from far and near. All the
children and the family members really made statements with the burial
ceremony.
Popular Abeokuta wave-making live band singer, Boye Best and
his band really thrilled guests to a melodious and wonderful evening, while
popular stand-up comedian and MC, Dr. Smile compered this great event.
