The evening of Monday 8th November 2021 saw a galaxy of stars performing at 10 Degree Event Centre, along Billings Way, in Ikeja, Lagos when, Ola Mohammed, the Publisher of Islanders Magazine celebrated the 10th anniversary of the popular Lagos soft-sell magazine, The Islanders.
It was an all-white party and the over 250
celebrity ladies who stormed the party were all dressed in white.
The party was the talk of the town, that day, as
the epoch event came along with the birthday celebration of its publisher, who
became a year older on the day.
The highly colourful and eventful occasion saw
the cutting of two well-designed cakes as guests were well received and
entertained at the event. Foods and drinks were in abundance to complement the
fun-filled night.
Performing on the night were top music stars
like Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, K1 the Ultimate; King Saheed Osupa, gospel
singer, Lanre Teriba aka Atorise, Alh. Sulaiman Atawewe, and popular Islamic
musician, Saoty Arewa.
Each of
them took the stage by storm, as they wholeheartedly sang to entertain guests
who came to celebrate with The Islanders magazine.
Those who gave eye-catching performances at the
glamorous event were Islamic Hajia Ayishat aka Ummu Niyas, Arole Zamboo, and
Alhaji Abdulazeez Ajobiewe. They were all thrilled about the event.
Dignitaries from within and outside Lagos stormed the venue for the remarkable event.
Most of them play big in the entertainment industry and on the social scene.
Each of them entered the hall in style as they dressed making different style
statements. Notable among them were: Business mogul and Chairman of Bash Oil,
Aare Bashir Fakorede and his wife, Yeye Are Bashir Omotayo Fakorede; top
politician and law-making, Owolabi Alao Monsuru, aka Batola and wife Jolade
Batola; Lateef folohunsho, Alh. Ojora Kazeem, Alh. Qasim Aniyikaiye; popular
socialite, Alhaji Saoty Ramoni Omo Salawe and his committee of friends from the
Island; Alhaji Sikirudeen and members of the Ijoko Agba palace from Ajah; not
leaving out the presence of two royal princes of the Olubadan, Mogaji Oyagaga,
Adegboyega Riliwan Usman and Hon. Prince
Ibrahim Asawale Asanike.
The official Disc jockey of the night was one of
the fastest-rising female DJs in Lagos, Salami Kudirat Gbemisola popularly
known as DJ Kulet. Her highly creative style added lots of flavor to the event
most especially during the arrival of guests at the party.
