family, along with friends and well wishers, 16 years after, to remember their
great mother, Late Snr Mother- In
-Israel Rebecca E. Bolanle Onatoye (nee Suleiman).The classy party took place in Abeokuta.
You need no one to tell you that it was a dream come true for
the first daughter of the family, Chief..Mrs Tunmbisola. O. N Atalabi Passerà and
her brother, Ayodeji; to finally celebrate the life of their great mum who left
them 16years ago.
City People gathered that Madam Rebecca Onatoye was supposed to clock 68 this month, had she been alive . She died at 52.
One of the sisters to
Late Madam Rebecca Onatoye revealed the kind of woman she was when she was
alive, In her speech, "My sister was a very great woman, a disciplinarian
per excellence. One thing you cannot take away from her when she was alive was
her love for everybody. She believed so much in education. My sister will
defend you with her life if she knows you are right. When my sister sees any
child who is supposed to be in school
and not in school she would go to any extent to make sure she fixes whatever
issues that caused it. She won't even mind going to the child's school. We
really miss her a lot. She was not supposed to leave us at the time she died
but we can't query God. We pray for her soul to continuously rest in
peace".
The 16years remembrance party of Madam Rebecca Onatoye will be one of the best events held in Abeokuta over the weekend, as the children literally shut down the town. Popular Fuji Musician, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma was on the band stand and made the day a memorable one for all the guests.
