IBADAN Shuts Down For Lady JUMLAR's Son Wedding

The historical city of Ibadan witnessed a huge turnout of celebrities on Sunday 28th April, 2019, as popular Ibadan Rice Merchant, Chief Mrs. Ibilola Solaja popularly known as Madam Jumlar, throws talk of the town wedding for handsome son. The green and white wedding team, took place at 2 event hall in Jogor Centre, Ring Road. The party was one of the most classy wedding done in the city of Ibadan this year. The wedding was between Adedoyin the daughter of a top society woman, Alhaja Balikis Olaide Lawal and Bowale the son of popular Rice Merchant, Madam Jumlar.

The party was and array of Governors, Obas, Honourables, top socialites in Nigeria and distinguish personalities all over the world.

The event will always be a memorable one for the household of Alhaji Fatai Kola Salami, Alhaja Balikis Olaide Lawal, Mr. Dotun Solaja and Chief Mrs. Ibilola Solaja who are the respectives parents of the bride and groom.

We noted over 2,000 society women at the party, the party was not just crowded, it was filled with notable personalities in Nigeria.

The groom who is also a member of Ogun State House of Assembly got full support from the Governor of Ogun State, Gov. Ibikunle Amosun and other members of Ogun State House of Assembly.

Did we tell you that Madam Jumlar picked 2 aso-ebi for her son’s wedding? One of the aso-ebi is 50k while the other is a sequence HOH lace that worth 350k. Apart from the fact that over 2,000 society women storm the party, we also noticed close to 1,000 celeb men at the party. AT THE ENGAGEMENT

The classy event took place at Jogor Centre, Ring Road, Ibadan. The engagement ceremony may be considered the biggest wedding that has happened in Ibadan this year. The ceremony started with the entrance of the groom’s family. We must confess, the groom’s family have a very high taste for fashion, they all danced in with the green luxury aso-ebi and white gele and very lovely jewelery to complement their outfits. After their arrival, the Alaga led them to the bride’s family who were sitted gorgeously in the beautiful aso-ebi. After meeting with the bride’s family, the Alaga Iduro gave reason why they have come, she and the groom’s parent went to request for their daughters hand in marriage, they told them there interest and the pledge to always take good care of daughter.

THE GROOM CAME IN WITH HIS ENTOURAGE

The handsome groom came in with his entourage, judging from his outfit, we could sense that he his indeed a fashionista. He wore brown agbada, which was made from a luxury aso-oke and under the agbada is a white expensive fabric, his outfit were beautifully designed and he complemented it with an embellished black shoe.

His friends were also not left out, some of them wore a white outfit while some wore a coffee brown agbada, they came in mass to support their handsome friend, after their arrival, the Alaga instructed them to go and greet the bride’s family.

THE PRICELESS MOMENT

Shortly after the groom greeted his bride’s family, he was asked to go and greet his parent. Immediately his mum sighted him, she left her sit and went straight to hug her son. She couldn’t hide that joy, it was written all over her face.

They both became emotional as they hug themselves for a very long time. It is every parents wish to witness their children’s success in all areas of their life and of course Madam Jumlar is one of the lucky parent that witness their children’s beautiful day.

LAUNCHING OF THE LETTER

We all know that Yoruba traditional wedding requires the groom’s family to write a letter to the bride’s family, which is where they request for their daughter hand in marriage. The groom family presented a huge and beautifully decorated letter to the bride’s family and it was read by a member of the groom’s family. The groom’s mother, Madam Jumlar, called on 5 of her close friends to support in launching of the letter as it was requested by the Alaga Iduro.

BRIDE’S ENTRANCE

The pretty bride also danced in with her beautiful friends. The bride was gorgeously dressed in a brown and peach laser-cut aso-oke, immediately she entered the hall, the atmosphere changes, everything about her speaks luxury. Her jewelery isn’t the regular ones we see on brides, she wore a very unique 18 carat gold and a matching pair of shoe to complement her outfit.

What about her friends? They weren’t left out, the wore the beautiful green aso-ebi with green gele.

OGUN STATE GOVERNOR, GOV. IBIKUNLE AMOSUN STORMS THE EVENT

His Excellency, Governor Ibikunle Amosun was the father of the day, and he was present at the party. Did we tell you that he didn’t come alone? He came with Ogun State Commissioners and they all rocked a white outfit and the aso-oke cap that was choosen for the party. Many would have thought he will leave immediately after the engagement due to his busy schedule suprisingly, he was  present at the reception. Governor Ibikunle Amosun who was the father of the day, took his time to advice the couple and he prayed for them.

THE BRIDES FAMILY GAVE THEIR CONSENT

In response to the letter that was presented by the groom’s family, the bride’s family also wrote a letter where they gave their consent to the marriage.

AT THE RECEPTION

The reception also took place at the biggest hall in Jogor Centre. The colourful wedding will always remain on the lips on people as it paraded celebrities all over Nigeria, it will be right to call it a “star studded wedding”. Another beautiful thing that got everybody talking is the irresistible and exquisite decorations, right from the entrance of the reception, it was beautifully decorated with floral designs, we never knew there was more to it until we entered the hall Everyone couldn’t help but stare at the decorations.

Did will also tell you about the golden sit that was used at the event? It was one of its kind, one would have thought they were made from real gold because they are very beautiful and unique. Before the engagement ceremony ended, the reception was already filled up guest other guests ended up sitting in the first hall.

Those in the first hall didn’t miss out on any of the show because they were able to watch everything live. Did we forget to tell you that all the parking space were filled with exotic cars.

MEET THE PARENT OF THE BRIDE AND THE GROOM

The bride’s parent Alhaji Fatai Kola Salami and Alhaji Balikis Olaide Lawal are from a popular family in Ekiti State while the groom’s parent, Mr. Dotun Solaja and Chief Mrs. Ibilola Solaja are from a respected family in Ijebu. Madam Jumlar, the groom’s mother is a well respected society woman in Ijebu-Igbo, and the groom’s father Mr. Dotun Solaja is a member of a popular group in Ijebuland, “Egbe Obafuwaji of Ijebuland”. We also sighted some members of the group at the party.

PRINCESS TOYIN KOLAE LED THE COUPLE GRAND ENTRANCE AT THE RECEPTION

The ever  pretty and radiant Princess Toyin Kolade, the Iyalaje of Apapa, Lagos, led the couple’s grand entrance. If you are a lover of parties, you might have met her is some of the big parties in Lagos. The music was handled by one of baddest DJ in town. DJ Sexcy, he gave them hot jams as they danced into the reception. The couple were surprise to see Princess Toyin Kolade dance some of the new dancing step that is trending among the youth. We weren’t surprise because we know that there is never a dull moment with her.

4 GUEST ARTISTE IN ONE EVENT

The party paraded top music acts in Nigeria. The first musician to perform at the party was the young and energetic hip-Hop singer, Small Doctor. We noticed that, while Small Doctor was performing, another hip-hop musician who is very popular  came in, his name is Qdot and he also went on stage to perform. When the arrival of popular hip-hop artiste, Adekunle Gold was announced, everybody struggled to catch a glimps of him.

He also went to stage on perform and the stage was crowded with people who wnated to do a video of him.

COUPLE’S FIRST DANCE

The first dance is considered as the official opening of dancing by the newly married couple. The first dance between the bride and groom is the most awaited moment for newly wed as well as guests. It shows the love and unity between the new couple. Adedoyin and Bowale didn’t dissapoint the guest at all, they danced to the slow music which was played by DJ Sexcy.

THE CHAIRMAN GAVE A SHORT OPENING SPEECH

High Chief Oyedoyin Oyelade was a perfect Chairman for the party, his words of advice were everything the couple needed. He advised them on how to always love each other unconditionally. He said they is nothing like a perfect marriage but when they show themselves true love, they will overcome every challenges that comes their way. He also pray that God should keep them together.

OGUN STATE SPEAKER, HON. SURAJ, HANDLED THE CUTTING OF THE CAKE

The cutting of the cake was conducted by the Speaker of Ogun Staet House of Assembly, Hon. Suraj Adekunbi. He is one of the respected politician and businessman in Ogun State. He also gave a short speech. Firstly, he appreciated the honour given to him to conduct the cutting of the cake at the party and he also prayed for the couple to always be happy.

3 FIRST LADY,  AND 2 GOVERNORS WHO MADE IT TO THE PARTY

As said earlier, the event paraded some of the important personalities in Nigerian. We witness the presence of First Lady of Oyo State, Dr. (Mrs,) Florence Ajimobi the pretty and ageless wife of Gov. Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, she dazzled in the 350k HOH sequence lace and complemented it with a nice collection of jewelery and a matching green shoe, the beautiful chocolate goddess, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, the wife of Ekiti State Governor also came in with her entourage and we couldn’t resist the way she dazzles in the 350k Aso Ebi

The former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and his elegant wife Olukemi Mimiko were also at the party. Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State also party without wife.

TOYIN KOLADE STEP UP HER FASHION CAME

Seeing her in a white luxury lace is not a new thing but the luxury lace she rocked for the event is one of the best so far. Princess Toyin Kolade wore a very pretty luxury white bul-bul that was embelished with expensive treamings and crystal stones. Her jewelery are not the regular ones we see on society women, she makes people turn 360 degrees in her dazzling white bul-bul. You would be forced to look her twice or more because everything about her is luxury.

Did we tell you that the groom, Bowale Solaja is a member of Ogun State House of Assembly? He is one of Gov. Amosun’s son and members of Ogun State House of Assembly turned up massively to honour and celebrate their colleagues.

THE DECORATIONS WERE OUTSTANDING

Let go back to the decoration, the decor was heavenly, it was eye-catching, what other words can we use to qualify it. It was magnificent and enticing, everybody at the event were very anxious to know the decorator because it’s very fascinating.

FUNKE AKINYERA, DAZZLED IN 2 ASO-EBI

One of the top society women that has eyes for luxury  is Funke Akinyera, Funke Akinyera is one of the few society women who doesn’t wear make-up to parties but her 18 karat gold and HOH luxury lace always speaks for her. She wore the 50k aso-ebi for the engagement ceremony and the 350k aso-ebi for the reception. Did we also mention her 18karat gold, it was very bold and unique.

THE LEGENDARY JUJU ARTISTE, KSA TRILLED THE GUEST TO A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE

It is no longer news that many rich people and celebrities always want to have King Sunny Ade perform  at their part. He is a great force in the music industry that cannot be ignored; the legendary Juju artiste did the magic with his music at the party and everybody were glued to the stage. Those that weren’t at the stage also couldn’t resist the vibes coming of KSA’s music.

The groom’s father Dotun Solaja is a member of Obafuwaji of Ijebuland and some of their members came to honour him. They were all dressed in a uniform coffee brown agbada. They include Supo Mosuro, Sarafa Sule, Kunle Odueke, Prince Yomi Odedina, Tunji, Fetuga, Yemisi Surakat, Tele Alli, Mayor Olusola, Abiodun Ajayi, Dare Asimi, Tunde Boyejo, Aina Osisanya, Alhaji Titi Oriola, Alhaji Tunde Odufa, Niyi Bamiro, Ganiyu Kazim, Olaide Osoba, Olusegun Aregbesola, Omotola Dawodu, Eng. Another group that stood out at the party are the Bobagunte Asiwaju Okunrin Akile Ijebu. They are Niyi Osoba, Gbenga Olugbile, Balogun Omotayo Seun, Segun Opiri, Niyi Eniola, Goke Oniku, Moses Oladipupo, Jonathan Adeyemi, Owolabi Adesanya.

MADAM JUMLAR SPLASHES MILLIONS ON HERSELF FOR SON’S WEDDING

Madam Jumlar needs not to be introduced before you know she is the mother of the groom, despite the fact that the outfit she wore was also rocked by the bride’s mother and two of her family members, she still stood out from the crowd.

Her outfits for the wedding was extremely beautiful, she stole the show at her own party because everybody couldn’t help but focus on her. One thing that made her a cynosure of all eyes is her huge and unique 18karat gold. The 18karat gold, which sat perfectly on her neck is a full set that consist of the earnings, necklace, bangles and ring and this beautiful set of jewelries became the point of attraction.
